IB Cap Ceremony 2010

The first students in East Jusland have graduated now. 25 students have ended their international baccalaureate, called the IB.

The IB baccalaurate can be taken in 130 countries worldwide and in Grenaa the students come from eight different countries all over the world, for example China, Vietnam and Mexico. However, this year we also have graduates from Århus and other places in our local community.

The IB-education is an alternative to the traditional Danish youth education, and the classes are all in English.

At the cap-ceremony grants were given to students who have somehow shown special social or academic abilities. The following grants were given:

”The Academic IB grant” from Danske Bank was given to Katrine Vedel Thisted
”The Bording School Grant” from Danske Bank was given to Sisse Fihl Skyum
Grenaa Gymnasium's ”IB Flower Award” was given to Pernille Carstens
"IB Wildcard" was given to Marie Vahle Hansen
Djurslands Bank's ”The IB integration Grant” went to Elisabeth Adanna Obara from Nigeria.
